What grade levels are allowed to participate? A: 7th & 8th grade only, but 6th grade students are encouraged to join running club which starts mid September.
What are the events in Cross Country? A: Cross Country practice focuses on building a runner's endurance, as well as distance running strategy and injury prevention. Our meets consist of a single race for each of the squad levels (7girls, 7boys, 8girls, 8boys). All athletes will compete in the meets, and their times will be compared to previous times to track improvement and personal records.
What is the last day to join? A: Once our first meet of the season occurs, it is too late to join the team. If you have moved in since the start of the season, please speak with a coach to see if your are still able to join the roster.
What if I can't make the first few practices.? A: If a scheduling conflict prevents you from attending our first practice, please ensure that paperwork is turned in so that we can include your name on the roster and uniform order form.
